2nd Directors’ Leadership Programmes

Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in collaboration with NFCG organized “2nd Directors’ Leadership Programmes” in December 2006 & February 2007 at Kolkata. The Programme contained three Modules - Roundtable on Good Governance Practices, Roundtable on Strategic Management-Role of the Board of Directors and Roundtable on Strategic Risk Management. The effectiveness of the Board depends largely on the leadership skills, capabilities and commitment to corporate governance practices of each individual director. Therefore, every director needs sharpen his acumen. Directors’ Leadership Programmes provide an opportunity to gain fresh insights through informal yet rigorous discussions with the faculty and peers and thus provides a platform to improve leadership skills and understanding of general management practices.
