OECD with ESCAP is organizing Regional Conference on Corporate Responsibility entitled “Why Responsible Business Conduct Matters” on 2-3 November 2009 at Bangkok. The conference will include:-
- Discussion on the respective roles of governments, business and other stakeholders in promoting responsible business conduct (RBC) in the OECD and Asian contexts;
- Learning from concrete experiences, with a special focus on climate change and financial issues, and
- Discussion on the supporting role of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and other leading international corporate responsibility instruments.

- The New Role of Government in Corporate Governance
The 6th Transatlantic Corporate Governance Dialogue is being organised by the European Corporate Governance Institute, the Brookings Institution and Columbia Law School in Washington on Thursday, 17th September 2009. The theme of the sixth conference is "The New Role of Government in Corporate Governance". The conference aims to bring together leading academics from law, economics and finance, regulators, judges, law makers, corporate leaders, investors and other corporate constituencies to engage in forward-looking discussions of corporate governance issues that are or will be at the forefront of policymaking on both sides of the Atlantic.
